Echo360
There are two ways to record using Echo360, using an Echo360 device or Echo360 Universal Capture.
Echo360 Pro Devices are located in most updated classrooms on the Summerville, Health Sciences, and Riverfront campuses. As a hands off approach for the instructors, captures can be scheduled ahead of time and are recorded using this appliance.
Echo360 Universal Capture is a user-friendly computer application that allows the instructor to control the capture. The instructor themselves have the freedom to start, pause, and stop the recording on their own. The can also select what sources to use or not use, as well as the publishing location.
Two forms of Universal Captures:
- Classroom Capture – Normally used in classrooms that do not have an Echo360 Pro device. Can also be scheduled and used as a backup should there be an appliance failure.
- Personal Capture – Works just like Classroom Capture, but is best used for personal laptops and desktop computers. Unlike the Echo360 Pro device and Classroom Capture, these recordings cannot be scheduled ahead of time.
