CIVIC DUTY: Extra Credit Opportunities

There are at least 2 opportunities for extra credit each semester:

1. A nonprofit-related Civic Duty paper.
2. A career-related Civic Duty paper.

Other extra credit opportunities may be added throughout the semester (e.g. iCareer Seminars).
Check the Lab Announcements and Course Syllabus for additional extra credit.

Professor Schmidt deems extra credit UNNECESSARY when students 1) properly prepare for regular semester coursework and 2) manage time well.

Therefore, 1) a limited amount of extra credit is available, 2) all extra credit is career and/or course related, 3) extra credit assignments are subject to very strict grading, and 4) "do-overs" on extra credit assignments are NEVER allowed!

Please be sure to read all of the information/guidelines and ask questions prior to submitting extra credit assignments!

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS:

• Working Ahead of Deadlines: (Online Students)

Online Students will be awarded various extra credit points for time management. Points will be assigned at random and unannounced times throughout the semester to all students who are at least one week ahead of course assignment schedule deadlines.

• Civic Duty Experience: (All Students)

 

• iCareer Seminar: (MINF students only)

 

• Misc: (All Students)
