What is a Mind Map

 

  

Mind Maps are Graphic Organizers that are utilized for many purposes including:

  • note taking,

  • brainstorming,

  • project management.

In this Economics course each student will create ten Mind Maps for the purpose of note taking and study.

Creating Your Mind Map

 

  •   You may work in groups

  •   You should be as creative as you like

  •   Google ‘Mind Map Software’ or search Wikipedia for lists of mind mapping software. Many are Free.

  •   Hand write your Mind Map if you like. Be sure it is legible.

Mind Map Assignment Details

 

MIND MAP REQUIREMENTS:

  • Each student is required to complete TEN Mind Maps.

  • A Mind Map is to be created for chapters 3 through 12.

  • There is not a Mind Map required for chapters 1, 2, & 13.

 

EVALUATION:

  • All Mind Maps will be graded for Basic Accuracy

  • Student's may work in groups however, No Two Mind Maps should be Identical or Duplicates

 

 

DUE DATES:

  • Mind Maps are due at the beginning of class on the FIRST day in which that chapter is scheduled to be discussed in class. [Please refer to the course schedule for specific dates]

  • Mind Maps may be turned into the professor at anytime prior to the due date

  • Assignments are Never accepted late

Mind Ma ps:

  • Each student will submit ten Mind Maps, one each for chapters 3 – 12. Mind Maps are not required for chapters 1, 2, or 13. Mind Maps are a graphical method of taking notes. Students may work on Mind Maps in groups, however each student must turn in an individual Mind Map. Examples and detailed instructions can be found on the professor’s website.
