(Students may use a Mac, but there may be extra cost - Please read below)

MS Office 2013 is REQUIRED for this course

MS Office 2013 can ONLY be properly installed on a Windows based environment.

Only Grader Project Assignments are completed in the Actual MS Office 2013 Software.

All Other Assignments are completed in the Online Lab via the Cloud and can be completed on a Mac with minimal if any issues.

However, Grader Project Assignments account for the majority of Course Points.

Therefore, to Complete the Grader Project Assignments, Students desiring to use a Mac Must:

  1. Purchase Bootcamp or Parallels

  2. Purchase a Windows OS (Windows 7 or higher) (May be free to students - check lab announcements)

  3. Install the above software on their Mac enabling their Mac to run a windows environment.

  4. Install MS Office 2013 (Professional Pro or 365) to the Windows environment on their Mac

  5. Use the Windows environment version of Office 2013 to complete their Grader Project Assignments

***Please Note:

A Students Grade WILL BE NEGATIVELY effected on ANY Grader Project Assignment, if the student submits a Grader Project completed on a Mac computer in the Mac environment (without using a copy MS Office 2013 installed on the Windows environment using Bootcamp or Parallels)!

OTHER OPTIONS

Students with a Mac May choose to:

  • Use the Campus Computer Labs to complete all Grader Project Assignments and Use their Mac Computer for all other assignments and resources

  • Install MS Office 2013 (Professional Pro or 365) on a spare Windows based computer to which they will have regular access

  • Utilize a public of family computer that already has MS Office 2013 (Professional Pro or 365) installed to complete Grader Projects

***PLEASE NOTE:

If students share a computer with another student and accidentally upload the other student's file. A zero for the assignment will be assigned to BOTH students. This is why assignments are to be kept on personal thumb drives.
