A FEW THINGS OF WHICH PARTICIPANTS SHOULD TAKE NOTE:

CONGRATULATIONS ON CHOOSING TO GO TO THE ATLANTA FEDERAL RESERVE!

I HOPE YOU ARE AS EXCITED AS I AM ABOUT THE TRIP!

  • 1)      Be sure to contact each of your professors for that Friday – 1) ask if they received my email, 2) ask what you need to do to make up any missed work or turn in Friday’s work early – whichever they require.

  • 2)      I tried to set up a CNN tour but they wanted $12 a person – so I chose not to do so this year. Thus, the free time in Atlanta will truly be free time. Please take a few moments to search out what you would like to do to fill your time.

  • 3)      Bring extra money! The various museums and aquarium etc. will probably have entrance fees. You will also need some money to eat on unless you choose to pack a lunch and dinner.

  • 4)      The bus will leave Augusta State University at 7:30 AM SHARP! DO NOT BE LATE OR YOU WILL BE LEFT! We have to be in Atlanta and at the Federal Reserve by 11:00AM!

  • 5)      DRESS CODE: There is not an official dress code for the tour. However, the Fed says that most groups do dress up for the tours and I believe we should represent Augusta State University well. Please dress in business casual attire for the tour. You do not need to wear a suit. Dress pants and a nice shirt is fine. You may bring shorts etc to change into after the tour (I know I will!).

  • 6)   FEDERAL RESERVE RULES/GUIDELINES:

  • Cameras, weapons, cellphones, and bags or purses are not permitted inside the Bank.

  • DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OF THE BUILDING

  • The Bank is a smoke-free building

  • Prior to your visit, you may wish to visit www.FederalReserveEduation.org

  • Groups of less than 10 and Children under the age of 8 are not permitted to tour the Federal Reserve

I look forward to seeing everyone bright and early on Friday morning!
